Radio-Active Theatre brings the world of theater to our listeners. Stories are selected from Old Time Radio, Drama, Comedy, and original scripts written by Audio Journal volunteers.

A radio book group. Speaking Volumes is Audio Journal’s book discussion program, bringing the enjoyable experience of a book group into listeners’ homes. Volunteers discuss the book in the studio, and listeners can call in with their comments and be part of the group. All books chosen are recorded by the Library of Congress on digital cartridge and are available through Perkins Braille and Talking Book Library and Worcester Talking Book Library. This show focuses on the world from an African American perspective, with guests, music, poetry and pertinent articles.

Readings from history magazines, Internet articles, books and journals. The program’s aim is to report on what has happened, so we might consequently find out what could happen.

Aimed at our younger listening audience and includes readings of popular children’s books, poems, and songs.

This twice monthly 30 minute program includes readings from Mindful Magazine and Spirit of Change Magazine.

Broadcasts include Bay State Council of the Blind Council Connection (weeks 2 and 3),
American Council of the Blind Reports (week 4), and other disability topics.
